Developing a Steady Flow of Customers

For most businesses these days, advertising is the most costly department. Businesses spend thousands, even millions of dollars each year to think up novel advertising ideas to show their company to the world.

But you don’t have to spend a fortune just to get the word out about your product / service. There are other, much more targeted, much more effective, and most importantly for any start-up business, much cheaper ways.

It’s important to think outside the square with advertising. Imagine who your perfect customer is. Where do they come from? What do they do? How would they find you?

TV, Radio, all of the traditional forms of Media – they’re great if you’re Coca-Cola, with billions of dollars in advertising budget; but they’re not the most effective way to spend your initial advertising dollars.

You’re not necessarily trying to tell the whole world about your product and how much they need it. At first, you need to focus specifically on the people who are ALREADY searching for the kind of product / service you provide. Let them find you!

Think about them clearly in your mind. Where are they looking for your kind of product? Where would they likely find services like yours? What would be eye-catching or outstanding for them?…
